Happy Father's Day to all of the great Dads out there, including my wonderful father, brother, brother-in-law, cousins and uncles.
Of course, Chicago Bulls' superstar Michael Jordan was extremely close with his father James, who was at his side throughout the first 9 seasons of his career, often seen celebrating Chicago's first three titles in 1991, 1992 and 1993.
Chicago played twice on Father's Day during its six NBA Finals appearances, clinching the title in six games against Phoenix in 1993 and at home against Seattle in 1996.
Sadly, Jordan's father James had been gone for nearly three years by the time of Father's Day 1996, with Jordan especially emotional following Chicago's Game Six victory against the Sonics.
As Jordan would say during the postgame celebration, "This one's for Daddy!"
