While this site is called "The College Basketball Nostalgic" for a reason, the fact remains that the college basketball offseason is about to get very slow, with the transfer portal closed and the Illinois Fighting Illini seemingly set with its roster for next season.
While I will continue to write about the Illini, Marquette and the portal, and cover classic NCAA Tournaments, I thought I would do something a little different the next few months.
This year marks the 30th anniversary of the Chicago Bulls going 72-10 and eventually winning its fourth NBA championship. As the current NBA playoffs are wholly unwatchable, I am going to revisit the Bulls' run to the title in 1996, a time I remember fondly as I had just graduated eighth grade and was preparing for my freshman year of high school. As this is my site, and I don't want to start another one, I will cover some pro basketball in a space designed for college basketball.
I plan on rewatching each Bulls' playoff game from 1996, providing some memories, commentary and analysis. It should be a fun trip down memory lane as my interest in modern sports (NBA, NHL, MLB) is pretty much nonexistent.
