What a wonderful Wednesday it has been for the Illinois Fighting Illini men's basketball team.
After David Mirkovic announced this afternoon that he will back next season, Illinois twin brothers Tomislav and Zvonimir Ivisic and sharpshooter Jake Davis announced tonight during the Kickin' Cancer fundraiser that they will be returning as well!
Illinois has now retained four of its five core players from last season, with Andrej Stojakovic still yet to announce his intentions for next season. Don't be surprised if Stojakovic declares for the NBA Draft to get feedback before returning to college, hopefully at Illinois for a second-year jump that picks up from his wonderful play during the NCAA Tournament.
